Gather Information

Now that you have an idea of what is expected, it is time to gather information.
It is now about sourcing for the best services at the best prices.
The best way to do this is to allocate responsibilities to each member of the project.
Each member must collect information and present the best options at the next project meeting.
Start an Information File where all information is stored.
When sourcing for information where possible insist on seeing the actual service of product.
Visit the sites and venues. Discuss layout and design a plan. Make sure you have a copy of the layout plan. Make sure everything agreed is written down. Don’t rely on promises.
Insist on samples or arrange tasting sessions


Insist on seeing the actual décor or photos/videos on. Remember photos can be very deceiving. The real thing is always better.

Develop a contact sheet list where all information is collated.
